Empowering the growth of SMBs in Sri Lanka
- This event has passed.
Description
Dear Members & partners of AmCham
The sudden outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic forced most or if not all industries to change their business model and accelerated the need to digitalize & the decrease in tourism, coupled with the social distancing paradigm shook the food and beverage industry to its very core.
In 2021, Uber Sri Lanka unlocked an estimated Rs. 81 Billion in economic value for the Sri Lankan economy.
Uber Eats by itself created Rs. 2.1 billion in additional value for restaurant and merchant partners in Sri Lanka – and a gross impact of Rs. 51 billion for the Sri Lankan economy as a whole.
This includes both the impact of earnings of the driver-delivery and restaurant partners facilitated by Uber and the wider indirect and induced multiplier effect created throughout the company’s wider supply chain.
AmCham Sri Lanka is pleased to invite you to a Member Spotlight event, to share with you the success stories of SMBs that by pivoting, innovation and digitalization facilitated by Uber, weathered the storm and emerged on top.
