On this AmCham SL IFS Premiere session on Thursday the 10th of December 2020 at 5.00 pm, Steven will share his wealth of knowledge and insights into what business can expect as us trade policy shifts under the new administration and how businesses across Asia should be thinking and preparing.Steven R. Okun, is a senior advisor of MacLarty Associates, a Singapore based geostrategic consultancy where he works with clients at the nexus of business, policy and stakeholder engagement navigating the complexities of international markets and operational challenges they face around the globe.
Widely considered a leader on corporate public affairs, sustainability and stakeholder engagement in the Asia Pacific region Steve provides analysis on US politics and business on a regular basis for both CNBC and Channel NewsAsia, appears on other global media and authors commentary on a regular basis for Singapore’s The Straits Times.
Formerly Deputy General Counsel in the Clinton Administration at the US Department of Transportation, he worked on each presidential campaigns of the Democratic candidates from 1988-2000. Steve has lived in Singapore since 2003 and served previously as the head of Asia Public Affairs for both UPS and global investment firm KKR, and was Chairman of the AmChams of Asia Pacific, and well as AmCham Singapore. He is a graduate of the University of Virginia and the University of Virginia School of Law.
