This edition of the Topic in Focus took place on the 20th of February 2020 at the Dukes Court, Cinnamon Lakeside Colombo. The topic in focus for this event was ‘Leveraging Geography – Harnessing the benefits of Sri Lanka’s strategic location in the Indian Ocean’ in partnership with South Asia Gateway Terminals – the Benchmark Terminal. The LQA, which was well received by the participants, saw an expert panel led by Mr. Rohan Masakorala (Global Commerce, Logistics and Distributions Specialist), Mr. Nimal Karunathilaka (Director General Commerce) and Mr. Dinesh Wickramanayake (Managing Director WNS Sri Lanka) highlight the opportunities available to industries from the strategic location that Sri Lanka enjoys in the Indian Ocean, and provide insight into the current status, what needs to change, and how we can best harness those factors.
