AmCham supports the collective interests of its members by proposing changes to improve the environment for international businesses in Sri Lanka. Through an active advocacy program, AmCham represents these interests to both the Sri Lankan and American governments. AmCham also contributes to the shaping of public opinion through its relations with fellow business organizations, academics and think tanks, the press, and many other stakeholder groups.
AmCham regularly conducts trade delegations to key locations in the Asia-Pacific region and elsewhere. The objectives of these missions are to explore business opportunities, provide valuable fact-finding services, and assist participants to establish networks and make business and government contacts throughout Asia. AmCham Sri Lanka also receives trade delegations from our neighbors in the Asia-Pacific region.
The Chamber organizes a variety of outstanding events that provide members with exclusive opportunities to network and exchange views with business people of diverse backgrounds and business interests. Monthly luncheons, evening cocktails, bowling, our annual golf tournament and Ambassador's Ball are some of the more popular networking events on the AmCham calendar.
Professional development seminars are regularly held for our members' middle and senior management.
